Monmouth Council, Scouting America is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as we work towards creating a welcoming environment. The Council is taking initiatives to lower or remove barriers to the participation of scouts and leaders in the following areas, but not limited to 1) low-income families 2) Black, Latino, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender or non-binary, 3) physically challenged, 4) non-christian, 5) scouts or leaders whose first language is not English.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
